Things to bring.

by Sarah Anne Mills last modified 2008-03-14 16:04

Some things to consider when packing:

Clothes

  • Bathing suit: there are beaches and an aquatic centre
  • Light rain coat: this is, after all, the "wet coast"; although August is often lovely, rain is always a possibility
  • Walking shoes: the campus is big, and beautiful hikes and walks abound
  • Sun Screen: yes, this is the land where rain coats and sun screen are needed on the same day

Supplies

  • Portable water bottle and/or mug: in an effort to reduce waste, please bring containers that you can use and reuse.
  • Tupperwear:  food venues around campus will place to-go food directly into containers you provide, this significantly reduces waste
  • Paper and pen and bag to carry your belongings around: with an eye to reduce costs and waste, we will not be providing these things.

Play

  • Bicycle: for yourself or to share -  UBC campus is excellent for bikes
  • Toys: a little goes a long way -- frisbees, cards, bubble blowers.....
  • Instruments
