UBC Ropes Course

In the forest - on campus see ubcropescourse.ca

Ropes courses are engineered structures in the trees which are purpose-built climbing. For students and adults.

Ropes courses, also known in the industry as challenge courses, use the physical outdoors, and both perceived and actual risk to develop group cohesion, leadership skills, effective communication and critical thinking. A ropes course acts as a catalyst to achieve all of the aforementioned outcomes. The environment forces people to work together, to trust each other, to think creatively and between the lines in perfectly safe situations. Teams learn how to work together and become reliable teammates, while individuals enhance self-esteem and learn about pushing their own self-created boundaries.

UBC Ropes Course is holding a space for IDEC participants on Wednesday August 13, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. (for a small group we could possibly do Aug. 15.)
Cost is 26.50 (incl. tax) for 40 participants or more. $31.50 if less than 40 participants.

All participants must sign a liability waiver - a parent or guardian must sign for participants uner 19 years. Minimum age 9.

Due to the popularity of this program our space can only be held until July 25th, so please indicate your commitment by then.

I've done it twice - love it!

Hi Alexa!  Thanks for arranging this.  I have had one positive response so far, and I'm sure there will be more.  Anyone else interested in going?
