Donations
The inclusion of people from all economic backgrounds is important to us. We do not believe that Democratic Education is only a middle class concept, but rather a universal idea which can be of value to all people. We are raising funds to support the participation of people from around the world who come from communities that do not have the financial resources to send delegates. Please consider making a donation to support our efforts.
Matching Grant!
We have a received a grant from the Bay and Paul Foundations subject to the following condition. They will match donations given for the financial assistance of low income delegates outside North America: $1.00 for every $2.00 raised, up to $50,000.Making a Donation

Our Funding Objective:
We hope to create a conference that is not only accessible to those from western countries, but accessible to people from around the world. Our goal is to make subsidies of conference fees and/or air travel available for those delegates that do not have the means to fund their own attendance and travel. The general cost of putting on the conference has been fixed by the cost of food, lodging, meeting facilities and other expenses. Our ability to provide subsidies hinges on our success in finding financial supporters. To this end, we request your support in providing funds to assist delegates to attend IDEC 2008.SANE is a registered charitable organization in Canada and all donations will receive a tax receipt.
The democratic education movement has grown rapidly in the past ten years and has expanded to all the corners of the globe. No longer limited to the largely middle class schools of North America and Europe, the democratic education community now includes schools in Thailand, Brazil, Equador, Chile, South Africa, Nepal and many more.
