International Democratic Education Conference 2008 in Vancouver, Canada
Owner/Director/Head Teacher of Rose Blossom School, a democratic preschool and kindergarten. Compassionate Communication, as taught by Dr. Marshall Rosenberg, is used to help create a cooperative and respectful, therefore relaxed and happy learning environment. We also introduce and practice vocabulary, phonics, writing, math, science and culture through music, movement, art, play, story, and games. I am interested in expanding by adding another location that can accomodate children up through second grade, using this model. Ideas and inspiration as to how to do this would be appreciated. How exciting!
