I am a professor in a faculty of education at the University of Windsor. I am trying to find ways of shifting any kind of negative complicity I might bring to bear on the thoroughly toxic, diseased and unhealthy places where we live, work and place. In particular, I believe, generally speaking, that places likes "democratic schools" are real models of healthy organizations. As a scholar, I am interested in understanding how social places, as a particular scale of organization, are connected as they are to the rest of the world in healthy ways. In particular, I refer to particular principles - like diversity, connectivity, redundancy - as understood in the light of complex dynamical systems might inform our collective understanding and ability to co-create diverse places for all to be in healthy ways.
